Its natural habitats are moist savanna, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, arable land, pastureland, plantations , rural gardens, heavily degraded former forest, ponds, and canals and ditches.
