census GR|2 of 2000, there were 305 people, 138 households, and 81 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 1,063.4 people per square mile (406.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 91.48% White, 5.25% African American, 0.98% Asian, 0.33% from other races, and 1.97% from two or more races.There were 138 households out of which 21.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.9% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.3% were non-families. 29.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.74.
