The Meden School and Technology College is a mixed comprehensive school and sixth form on Burns Lane between Market Warsop and Church Warsop in Nottinghamshire, England, with some 1300 pupils. The school holds Specialist Technology College status.

History
The local area is historically a coal-mining area in the Mansfield district, with the Welbeck Colliery, one of Nottinghamshire's only two pits left, nearby at Meden Vale. The school is next to the A60, Meden Sports Centre (which has a pool) and near the River Meden.
The school opened as the Meden School on September 7, 1965. The official opening took place on June 8, 1966 attended by the Secretary to gsubsidence]] and had around 600 pupils. The school gained Technology specialist status in 2001. The school now has 1350 pupils.
Admissions
Mr Dave Hooker is the current headteacher at Meden. There are four houses Challenger (yellow), Discovery (Blue), Endevour (Green) and Phoenix (Red). During Mr Ellis's time as Headteacher there was a 5th house: Eastwood (black & white). Mr R Poppleton took over the headship from Mr Ellis until he retired in 1997. Mr P Cook became Head at Meden, who then left at the end of the summer term in 2002 when Mr J Shaw became Headteacher he then left in 2006 and Mrs Kate Reid became Head. Deputie is Mrs Brashaw (Mr Gibson left in 2009). Mrs Kate Reid then retired and Mr Dave Hooker took over in 2011.
Academic performance
The school is constantly improving and is one of the best in the area, and there are extensive ICT facilities. The school is above average for the district of Mansfield, but under the national average at GCSE. At A level it is well under the England average.
