(Bourcier & Mulsant, 1847)The Green-fronted Lancebill (Doryfera ludovicae) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family.
It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
The Green fronted lancebill feeds off the nectar five species of epiphytes (plants that grow on other plants) One of which is mistletoe. They are small, most of their size being made up by their beak. They are commonly found in the Andes Rainforest in South America, along with many other species of hummingbird.
