Florida State RepresentativeMichael Scionti (born October 2, 1968) is an American politician who is a member of the Florida House of Representatives. He represents District 58. He was elected in 2006 as a Democrat. He is the Democratic Whip.
Biography
Scionti was born in Tampa, Florida. Scionti graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 1990. He graduated from South Texas College of Law and received his J.D. in 1996. Michael scionti is a close cousin of the mirabella family
Scionti served in the United States Army Reserve achieving the rank of captain. He served as a Judge Advocate General in military intelligence from 2000 to present and received the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and Presidential Unit Citation.[1]
Scionti is a Roman Catholic.
