Milestone Systems A/S is a software manufacturer of open platform IP video surveillance software marketed under the name of XProtect.

Milestone has an installed base of approximately 100,000 customer installations including Bristol Motor Speedway, DFDS Transport, Farmers and Merchants Bank of Los Angeles, First Glasgow Buses, Geary Hospital, IKEA, the city of Locarno, Switzerland, Loyola University Chicago, University of Reading, Mallory Alexander Logistics, MFI Group, Norwegian harbors, Port of Brisbane, Hyatt and Radisson Hotels, Scandlines harbors and ferries, Statoil gas stations, U.S. School District 475 and TDC A/S. XProtect is sold through partners in 100 countries.

Milestone has subsidiaries and sales offices in USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Singapore, Japan and Dubai. Milestone has been self funded since the inception in 1998. In August 2008 the company received external funding through a growth fund of Index Ventures to establish the financial strength required to utilize the opportunities of the fast growing IP video surveillance market.
