- Milestone (Japanese developer)
.
Milestone are made up of Japanese NAOMI arcade developers who left COMPILE to form their own company, mostly because Compile wasn't too interested in shooting games like in the past. Despite having worked for COMPILE, they are still a very new videogame development team, but they have proven to be able to pull off good ports to many home videogame systems and create very fun and appealing
Shoot 'em up titles for both NAOMI and Dreamcast alike.Their first release was "
Chaos Field " in2004 , which was ported to Dreamcast. Later they ported "Radilgy " ("Radio Allergy" in North America) and released it onFebruary 16 2006 . Both titles were ported for both thePlayStation 2 andNintendo GameCube , with the later console seeing releases in North America byO~3 Entertainment . Their most recent game, "Karous ", was released onMarch 8 ,2007 on theSega Dreamcast , and a Wii release is planned. Karous will most likely be the last released game for the Dreamcast.Releases

There is also an Italian game developer named
Milestone S.r.l. that is unrelated to the Japanese company. They mostly develop budget racing titles like Super Pick Ups and Superbike World Championship."Milestone Inc." is a popular name for companies. A quick Google search will turn up several companies called Milestone Inc. The following is a (probably incomplete) list of other companies called Milestone Inc.:
