The School Today

In 2004, the school was the recipient of the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Award from the United State Department of Education, which placed Dallas Christian as one of only four private schools in the state of Texas to receive this distinguished recognition and one of only 50 private schools nationally. Dallas Christian School is able to excel above most other private schools, due to its special programs such as its LEAP and Scholars Lab programs which focus on helping students with developmental needs. With these and other specialized, value-adding programs, the school aims to ensure that, indeed, no child is left behind.

The school maintains an affiliation with the Church of Christ, a reformist community of evangelical Protestants who aim to emulate Christianity as practiced by the first-century Church.

College Acceptance

The teachers and students at Dallas Christian have combined to create an impeccable record for college admissions. Over the past decade, Dallas Christian has launched students into academic pursuits at schools such as Cornell University, University of California, Berkeley, Dartmouth College, New York University, Furman University, The University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University, Austin College, Trinity University, Baylor University, Texas Christian University, Texas A&M University, Abilene Christian University, Lubbock Christian University, and Texas Tech University. Dallas Christian has also helped a number of its students achieve recognition as National Merit Scholarship recipients.
