The school has two campuses, one for preschool through 5th graders which is the elementary campus located within Bammel Church of Christ at 2700 F.M. 1960 West, and another for 6th through 12th grade located nearby at 4363 Sylvanfield Drive.[1][2]
The secondary campus has several buildings in the front which are numbered from 1, the central administrator office and Cougar Store, to building 5. Building 6 is where the school cafeteria, gym, and the orchestra room is located. Building 7 is where more classrooms and lockers are located as well as the "Student Services" office. The school was founded in 1974 and currently enrolls over 750+ middle school, high school, elementary, and preschool students. NCS is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) conference. The school's mascot is the cougar. The current principals are Kent Hart and Cliff Kraner.

Location of Buildings
Elementary and Preschool Campus
The Elementary and Preschool campus of Northland Christian School is about less than five minutes away from the secondary campus. The Elementary and Preschool Campus is located within the Bammel Church of Christ in close proximity of a major intersection of FM 1960 and Kuykendahl Rd and less than two minutes away from the Kelsey-Sebold Clinic and Medical Center right across the street and an upper-class neighborhood of Northgate Forest. The Preschool campus is located in the southern wing of the Elementary campus while the Elementary campus (grades K-5) is located at the northern wing of the building.
Secondary Campus
The Northland Christian School Secondary Campus is located on Sylvanfield in close proximity of a major intersection of FM 1960 and Stuebner-Airline Road, and Bammel North Houston and Veterans Memorial (Continued from Stuebner Airline). The Secondary Campus houses students from grades 6 to 12. There are seven buildings on the Secondary Campus.
Building 1
Building 1 is the central administrator's building. The admissions office, and the school store called the "Cougar Store," is also located here. The Superintendent, the academic conuselor, the Cougar Store manager, and the admissions office director works in this building. The Cougar Store contains school spirit items, school supplies, and refreshments such as various well-known brands of soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, and Vitamin Water, and candy bars.
Building 2
Building 2 contains mainly "science" classrooms such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, etc. A science lab is located in this building.
Building 3
Building 3 contains mainly math, science, and technology classrooms. The Technology Office is located in this building for any repairs needed on student's MacBook computers.
Building 4
Building 4 contains history classrooms such as United States history, Texas History, Government, and Economics along with several English classrooms.
Building 5
Building 5 contains the school's "state-of-the-art" weight rooms, Choir Room, Debate Room (shared with the Choir Room), Drama Office, and Music Theory Room (shared with the Choir Room). The fine arts department room is located within this building.
Building 6
Building 6 contains the cafeteria, the main stage, a big gym, orchestra room, media room, jazz ensemble room, and the small locker rooms.
Building 7
Building 7 contains more classrooms, mainly English and Science, the "state-of-the-art" "library" with the Media Center, and the Student Services Office. The Library contains many old books available for students to read and learn upon, especially about the Bible, and slavery in the United States. The Student Services Office is where the staff help and direct the students, and the Middle and High School Principal and assistant principal works. The Athletic Director works in the Student Services Office.
Admission Into School
"Applicants for admission to Northland Christian School must furnish evidence that they are physically and emotionally fit, of good moral character, and academically capable. All applicants must:
- complete all of the Application Procedures detailed here;
- be eligible for re-enrollment in all schools previously attended;
- have not been suspended or expelled from school within the past twelve months;
- have no academic semester grade average lower than “C”;
- have acceptable conduct grades and work habits;
- score at or above the 50th percentile on the language/reading and math sections of the entrance examination;
- be free of severe learning or behavioral problems;
- not be coming directly from any type of rehabilitation program (i.e., drug, alcohol, behavior, mental, etc.);
- agree to comply with all policies in the PARENT-STUDENT HANDBOOK.
All new students will be accepted on behavioral and academic probation for a period of one calendar year. During this period, conduct and scholarship will be monitored closely. Continued enrollment is dependent upon acceptable levels of attendance, behavior, psychological maturity and academic achievement."

Standardized Tests
Since Northland Christian School is a private school, it is exempt from TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) Test. Students in grades Kindergarten to 9th grade take the Stanford Achievement Test. Students in grades 3,5, and 7 take the OLSAT Achievement Test. In 7th grade, students identified as "gifted and talented" takes the SAT Test for admission into the Duke's TIP Program. In 10 or 11th grade, students take the PSAT/NMQST test. In 11th or/and 12th grade, students take the SAT or/and the ACT tests.
Athletics
Northland Christian School is one of the few schools in the Houston area that offers athletics for both middle and high school. Northland Christian School requires all students to participate in Physical Education or Athletics. There is an option for students participating in Olympic-level sports such as the most commonly gymnastics, cheerleading, tumbling, soccer, taekwondo, karate, baseball, football, swimming, etc. outside of school as Off-campus PE to take study hall if they document at least 15 hours per week.
Northland Christian School provides the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track, Volleyball.
Sixth grade students are allowed to try-out for Seventh grade teams. Eighth grade students are allowed to try-out for high school sports if needed by the school to fill in the vacant spots such as this year's Junior Varsity Baseball Team.
Fine arts
Northland Christian School provides a variety of fine arts courses of performing and visual arts. Courses such as art, drama, photography, orchestra, choir, jass ensemble, and bell choir are available for students to take.
