501-3792Website City of Mino Mino (美濃市 Mino-shi ) is a city located in the Gifu Prefecture of central Japan.
Founded on 1 April 1954, Mino covers a total area of 117.05 km². As of July 2011 the city had an estimated population of 22,447 inhabitants.
The city is renowned for traditional Japanese Mino washi paper and its streets, which are in the style of the early Edo period (1603-1868).

Bicycle rental scheme
A scheme designed to attract and encourage tourists, begun in 2004, offers bicycles and electric bicycles for low-price rental. The city has also established a number of cycling paths.[3]
