Daryapur (Marathi: दर्यापूर) (Banosa) is a city and a municipal council in Amravati district in the state of Maharashtra, India. Daryapur is situated on the bank of Chandrabhaga river. The town drives its name from Darya Imad Shah the 3rd independent Kings of Berar( A.D.1526-1560)and who founded Daryapur. Daryapur has excelled in education with its old famous reputed Prabodhan Vidyalaya daryapur and other schools which has produced many meritorious students who excelled in different fields of studies. Daryapur is also famous as a cotton producing town with numerous jinning and pressing factories. It also excels in production of cereals like 'Mug' and 'Chana'. Soyabeen production in recent years is also growing. Daryapur Municipal Council comprises three separate town i.e. Daryapur, Banosa and Babhali. Daryapur is the main town where the Municipal Council, ST Bus Stand, and main schools are situated. There is only a narrow-gauge rail line separating Banosa from Daryapur. Babhali and Banosa are separated by a river "Chandrabhaga".

Daryapur is also home town of marathi writer, Pratima Ingole active in this field for 25 years. Her many stories are included for studies in school and college syllabus.there is a krishna temple for mahanubhavs. Daryapur also now have considerable amount of NRIs.

Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidalay offers Under-graduate and Post graduate programs for girls in various fields of Arts such as Home Economics, Music and J.D.Patil Sangludkar Mahavidhaly.Maulana Azad urdu high school, Adarsh mahavidlya,banosa, Daryapur english school(convent),Dnyanpeeth convent,Daryapur. College nearby Daryapur kashibai agrawal junior college yeoda, engineering college,darapur are also good academic place near Daryaur.various NGO working in education field are also active such as Pragati shikshan sanstha,Daryapur engaged in various diploma courses in language approved by NCPUIL,Delhi.The new group named "GOOD MORNING CLUB" has started the PMT/PET entrance training center for betterment in education in this area.many famous and idol people fromm this area named NARESH MOHATA(Maharashtra medical), GANORKAR, REWASKAR etc are part of it.

Daryapur has grown remarkably in the recent past. Schooling in Daryapur has been outstanding and they are producing budding doctors and Engineers. Famous Industrialist Tahir Ali belongs to these schools, and now has his business empire in many countries. Mr Nilesh Jalamkar director of DEBU-DEV TETHECHI JANAVA also from Daryapur. A village Tonglabad is famous for his Bajarang Vyayam shala in all over Maharashtra founded by Mr Tukaram Bidkar, Chairman, Vaidhyanik Vikas Mahamandal, Nagpur.

Demographics

As of 2001^[update] India census,^[1] Daryapur had a population of 34,398. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Daryapur Banosa has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82% and, female literacy is 74%. In Daryapur Banosa, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
