Iara (German: Jahren) is a commune in Cluj County, Romania. It is composed of thirteen villages: Agriş, Borzeşti, Buru, Cacova Ierii, Făgetu Ierii, Iara, Lungeşti, Măgura Ierii, Maşca, Ocolişel, Surduc, Valea Agrişului and Valea Vadului.

Demographics

According to the census from 2002 there was a total population of 4,704 people living in this town. Of this population, 90.68% are ethnic Romanians, 6.01% ethnic Rroma and 3.16% are ethnic Hungarians.[3]
