Countess Leonore of Orange-Nassau, Jonkvrouwe van Amsberg (Leonore Marie Irene Enrica; born 3 June 2006 at Bronovo hospital in The Hague), is the third child and second daughter of Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, née Brinkhorst. She is member of the Dutch Royal House and currently eight in the line of succession to the Dutch throne.[1]

Birth and baptism

At birth, Countess Leonore weighed 3030 grams (6.6 lb), and was 48 cm (18.9 in) long.

Countess Leonore was baptised in the chapel of Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn on 8 October 2006. Her godparents are:

By Royal Decree of 11 May 2001, nr. 227 is determined that all children of Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands will bear the title of Count (Countess) of Orange-Nassau and the honorific Jonkheer (Jonkvrouwe) van Amsberg, and have the surname Van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg. The titles are hereditary in male lineage.[2]
