The station is 9 km (5⅓ miles) east of Blackburn railway station on the East Lancashire Line operated by Northern Rail.
Situated in the middle of Church's suburban streets, the station had fallen into disrepair but was modernised in 2005.[1][2]

Services
Monday to Saturdays, there is an hourly service from Church and Oswaldtwistle towards Blackburn, Preston and Blackpool South, westbound and Accrington, Burnley Central and Colne, eastbound. There is a two-hourly service in each direction on Sundays.
