Brierfield ,Lancashire and is on theEast Lancashire Line 3 km (2¼ miles) east ofBurnley Central railway station towards Colne (the terminus). The station is managed byNorthern Rail , who also provide all passenger trains serving it.Opened with the line on 1st Feb 1849 but originally called "Marsden" until 1857. It is now single track, but the double track-bed and the disused down platform are still there, as is the signal box which now only operates the level crossing.There is an active Rail user Group;- "The Friends of Brierfield Station"

Monday to Saturdays, there is an hourly service from Brierfield towards Burnley Central, Accrington, Blackburn, Preston and Blackpool South, westbound and Colne, eastbound. There is a two-hourly service in each direction on Sundays.
