2 May 1938 along withLea Road railway station to the east, but was reopened on8 April 1940 to serve the adjacent industrial complex (Biddle, 1989; Bairstow, 2001).ervices
Salwick is served by only three trains a day in each direction, but it is not a formal
request stop ; trains aretimetable d to stop there (Network Rail, 2007). It is used by very few passengers (1,858 in 2004–5), but provides a commuter service for the workers at the nearby SpringfieldsBNFL complex.References
