Sarah L. Anderson (born 1972) is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives representing District 43A, which primarily includes all or portions of the cities of Plymouth and Medicine Lake in western Hennepin County in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Republican, she is also a former manager of the Legislative Assistant Department of the Republican Caucus in the Minnesota House, a former staffer for the House's Capital Investment Committee, and a former executive advisor to House Speaker Steve Sviggum.[1][2]

Anderson was first elected in 2006, succeeding three-term Rep. Jeff Johnson, who ran for Minnesota Attorney General.[3] She was re-elected in 2008 and 2010. She is currently a member of the House's Commerce and Labor Committee and Taxes Committee, and also serves on the Finance subcommittees for the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division and the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division. She is an assistant minority leader.[4]

The youngest of 13 children, Anderson graduated from Atwater-Grove City High School in Atwater, then went on to the University of Minnesota in Duluth, earning her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. She worked for the Minnesota House from 1995–2006, and also served as a planning commissioner and park and recreation board liaison for the city of Plymouth.[1][2]
