Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE, TSX: ORL) is a mineral resource company based in Brisbane, Australia. The company's main focus are exploration targets in Argentina. Since 2007 Orocobre Ltd. is registered at the Australian Securities Exchange ASX (symbol: ORE) and as of 2010 listed on the (Toronto Stock Exchange) TSX (symbol: ORL).

Projects
Olaroz
The Salar de Olaroz is a saltlake in the province of Jujuy in northwestern Argentia, close to the Chilean border. Orocobre intends to develop deposits of Lithium and Potash. Drilling and pumptests over major parts of the cateos have been completed. A resource definition to a "Joint Ore Reserves Committee" (JORC) standard is done. Company sources regarding the drilling and test outcomes state an average lithium content of 700ppm and a Magnesium to Lithium ratio of 2.8. The amount of potash is stated with 1,3%.
In April 2009 Orocobre announced the maiden resource estimate of project Olaroz with the amount of lithium carbonate to be at least 1.5 million tonnes and at least 4.4 million tonnes of potash (potassium chloride).
In a scoping study published in May 2009 a target production of 15.000 tpa lithium carbonate and 36.000 tpa potash is stated.
Santo Domingo
The Santo Domingo project is located in the province of San Juan in central Argentina, the resources of interest at the Santo Domingo mining area are Copper, Gold and Silver.
Other projects
Besides the above projects, Orocobre holds other mining rights.
In February 2009, Orocobre Ltd. and Argentinean partners launched the joint venture "South American Salars". The objective is a further exploration of salars located in South America.
