Okinsky District (Russian: Окинский райо́н; Buryat: Ахын аймаг) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. The area of the district is 26,926 square kilometers (10,396 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Orlik.[1] District's population: 5,488 (2010 Census preliminary results);[3] 4,591 (2002 Census);[4] 4,479 (1989 Census).[8] Population of Orlik accounts for 44.5% of the district's population.[4]
