Head coach Chris Williams The New Mexico Stars are a professional indoor football team due to begin play in the Indoor Football League for its 2012 season. The team is based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico (in the Albuquerque metropolitan area), with home games to be played at the Santa Ana Star Center. [1]
The Stars will be the second indoor team to play in Rio Rancho, following the American Indoor Football Association's New Mexico Wildcats which played the 2008 and 2009 seasons before folding.
