NOTE - Miss Universe Romania 2010 winner, Alexandra Cătălina Filip is Romania's national sport dance champion since 2008, along with dance partner Ramon Zedan, practicing 4–5 hours per day for the past 11 years. Cătălina realized after four days of non-stop media interviews and photo shooting sessions that she wouldn't be able to represent Romania at the various international dancing competitions she and her partner had signed up for the upcoming year if she continued her reign as Miss Universe Romania 2010. Thus, at the press conference on July 14, 2010, she decided to pass the crown to Oana Paveluc, her first runner-up, a decision that was graciously accepted by the Miss Universe Romania Organization (MURO). Cătălina was told she would remain part of MUR's family as the Official Dance Instructor for next year's contestants.2009 Edition
