宜春明月山机场IATA: none – ICAO: none Summary Airport type Public Serves Yichun, Jiangxi, China Elevation AMSL 40 m / 131 ft Runways Direction Length Surface m ft 2,400 7,874 Source: [1] Yichun Mingyueshan Airport (Chinese: 宜春明月山机场) is an airport being built in the city of Yichun in Jiangxi Province, China. The airport is located in Yuanzhou District, and will serve the nearby cities of Pingxiang and Xinyu in addition to Yichun. It is named after Mingyueshan (lit. Moon Mountain), a national forest park near Yichun. Construction officially started on July 26, 2009 with a total investment of 502 million yuan, and the airport is expected to open in 2011.[1]
Facilities
The airport will have one runway that is 2,400 meters long and 45 meters wide (class 4C), and a 6,000 square-meter terminal building. It is projected to handle 200,000 passengers and 1,200 tons of cargo annually by 2020.[1]
