v · Vargas Santaella on born 21 October 1983, Caracas) is a Venezuelan heiress and wife of Louis Alphonse of Bourbon, Duke of Anjou, who is considered to be the head of the French Royal House making Marie Marguerite the Legitimist titular queen consort of France by royalists who consider the renunciation of Philip V of Spain as invalid.

Marie Marguerite's father is the well-known lawyer and owner of Banco BOD or Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD Bank or Western Bank of Discount - WBD) Víctor José Vargas Irausquín and wife Carmen Leonor Santaella Tellería. She often appears in magazines around the world such as ¡Hola! from Spain that cover the life of the European royalty.

Marie Marguerite studied at the Colegio Merici de las Madres Ursulinas in Caracas and did her degree on pedagogy at the Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas. She speaks English and Spanish and some French.

Marie Marguerite married Louis Alphonse in a civil ceremony in Caracas on 5 November 2004 and in a religious ceremony the following day at La Romana, La Romana, Dominican Republic. The couple have a daughter, Eugénie of Bourbon (b. 5 March 2007 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida). Marie Marguerite had twins on 28 May 2010, named Louis and Alphonse.[1]

She has a sister María Victoria, married to Francisco Javier d'Agostino Casado. She also had a brother named Víctor José after his father, who died young.
