Dan Quart represents District 73, which comprises parts of the Upper East Side and Midtown East in Manhattan, in the New York State Assembly. He was elected in a special election in 2011 following the resignation of Jonathan Bing. He is a Democrat.
Before his election to the State Assembly, Quart worked as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Aid and served as co-chair of the Transportation Committee for Community Board 8.[1] In 2005 he finished second in the Democratic primary for City Council to Jessica Lappin.[2]
