Brian Kolb

Brian Kolb is an American politician and member of the Republican Party from New York State. Kolb represents District 129 in the New York State Assembly, which is comprised primarily of Cayuga, Onondaga, Ontario and Seneca counties, among other communities located in Upstate New York.

Chosen in a special election held in February 2000-and re-elected twice since that time-Kolb currently serves as the Ranking Minority Member on the Committee on Banks, and is a member of several other standing committees. He is also a member of the National Conference of State Legislators, American Legislative Exchange Council, and part of the Heartland Institute's Board of Directors.

In addition to his duties as a member of the Assembly, Kolb also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Adult and Graduate Education at Roberts Wesleyan College, from which he earned both his M.S. and B.S. degrees.

Prior to his election to the Assembly Kolb served as Supervisor for the Town of Richmond and as a member of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors.
