This award is given to the best defensive player on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse varsity football team where he has started since his freshman year. In Drew's senior season while playing at Azusa Pacific he led the team with 17 tackles. On tackle number 5, Drew tackled to running back so hard that his facemask got bent out of shape. All these accomplishments are surprising because he was lightly recruited from high school.
