Since 2000, the brewery has been located in Munster, Indiana. Three Floyds is known for a variety of beers, and are perhaps best known for their once-a-year brew, Dark Lord, a Russian Imperial Stout that is issued every year at a brewery-based festival known as "Dark Lord Day".[2]
Three Floyds produce eight year-round beers and several seasonal beers. Production of these seasonal beers is 4,800 barrels a year.
Dark Lord, described as "a gargantuan Russian Stout brewed with coffee, molasses, and honey; 13% abv."[3] is the beer for which Three Floyds is most famous, and is rated as one of the best beers in the world [4]. It is sold only on Dark Lord Day, the last Saturday in April. Numbers attending are now limited to 6,000 via pre-sold tickets after crowd control problem in the past.[5]
In 2005, the brewery opened a brewpub attached to the brewery [6] in Munster.
