Barkam County (simplified Chinese: 马尔康县; traditional Chinese: 馬爾康縣; pinyin: Mǎ'ěrkāng Xiàn; Tibetan: འབར་ཁམས་ / 'Bar-khams) is a county in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China. The county seat is Barkam town.

Towns: Barkam (马尔康镇), Zhuokeji (卓克基镇), Songgang (松岗镇).

Townships: Suomo (梭磨乡), Baiwan (白湾乡), Dangba (党坝乡), Muerzong (木尔宗乡), Jiaomuzu (脚木足乡), Shaerzong (沙尔宗乡), Longerjia (龙尔甲乡), Dazang (大藏乡), Kangshan (康山乡), Caodeng (草登乡), Ribu (日部乡).

Climate

Barkam has a four-season, monsoon-influenced climate within the transition between a subtropical highland climate and humid continental climate (Koppen Cwb and Dwb), with mild daytime temperatures year-round. Monthly averages range from −0.6 °C (30.9 °F) in January to 16.1 °C (61.0 °F) in July. Rainfall is estimated at 790 millimetres (31.1 in) annually, with usually barely any winter snow. Differences between day and night are large owing to the elevation.
