CityRail network. It serves a residential area, primarily theSydney suburb of Oatley. It has an island platform. There are two sets of points at the city end of the station allowing trains to be terminated on either plaftorm, although these are not used in regular timetabled service. The station exit is located on the northern end of the platform, down the stairs to a subway that links Oatley Parade and Mulga Road.History
The railway station opened in 1886. Oatley is notable as the end point of the first section of track to be electrified for regular passenger services from Sydney Central in 1926.
