Oak Island is an unincorporated area and Populated (Community) Place[1] in central Chambers County, Texas, United States. It consists of about 350 homes.[2]

Hurricane Ike
On September 13, 2008, Hurricane Ike rendered about 90% of the community's homes uninhabitable.[2]
Education
Anahuac Independent School District operates schools in the area.
