United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 34.4square mile s (89.1km² ), all of it land.Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 2,698 people, 928 households, and 781 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 78.5 people per square mile (30.3/km²). There were 956 housing units at an average density of 27.8/sq mi (10.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.74% White, 0.52% African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.93% Asian, 0.26% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.74% of the population.There were 928 households out of which 44.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.5% were married couples living together, 4.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.8% were non-families. 10.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.91 and the average family size was 3.16.
In the town the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 33.7% from 25 to 44, 25.8% from 45 to 64, and 5.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 108.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 109.4 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $70,439, and the median income for a family was $73,309. Males had a median income of $42,364 versus $30,541 for females. The
