Geography
Clearview is located at 40°8′32″N 80°41′27″W / 40.14222°N 80.69083°W (40.142204, -80.690849)[3].
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 590 people, 223 households, and 179 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,502.1 people per square mile (584.1/km²). There were 231 housing units at an average density of 588.1 per square mile (228.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.66% White and 0.34% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.17% of the population.
There were 223 households out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.6% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.3% were non-families. 18.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the village the population was spread out with 23.9% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 89.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.8 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $41,250, and the median income for a family was $45,000. Males had a median income of $32,250 versus $23,750 for females. The per capita income for the village was $19,404. About 6.3% of families and 8.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.2% of those under age 18 and 4.3% of those age 65 or over.
