United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 6.3square mile s (16.2km² ), of which, 6.2 square miles (15.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (1.60%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 2,849 people, 991 households, and 885 families residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 462.9 people per square mile (178.9/km²). There were 1,010 housing units at an average density of 164.1/sq mi (63.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.31% White, 0.32% African American, 0.74% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 1.26% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.55% of the population.There were 991 households out of which 41.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.5% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 10.6% were non-families. 9.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.06.
In the city the population was spread out with 27.8% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 31.1% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 103.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $74,155, and the median income for a family was $78,926. Males had a median income of $61,375 versus $35,610 for females. The
