As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,586 people, 371 households, and 339 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 558.2 people per square mile (215.6/km²). There were 423 housing units at an average density of 148.9/sq mi (57.5/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 81.59% White, 0.13% African American, 0.38% Native American, 17.02% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 95.02% of the population.There were 371 households out of which 55.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.9% were married couples living together, 16.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 8.4% were non-families. 7.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.27 and the average family size was 4.51.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 39.4% under the age of 18, 12.6% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 17.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 24 years. For every 100 females there were 98.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.1 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $15,926, and the median income for a family was $16,759. Males had a median income of $12,663 versus $13,036 for females. The
