The list of shipwrecks in 1893 includes all ships sunk, foundered, grounded, or otherwise lost during 1893.

16 January

•  Italy) sank after a collision in the Straits of Messina.^[1]

March

23 March

• Allanshaw ( United Kingdom) wrecked on Tristan da Cunha with the loss of three crew.

April

4 April

• Sailing ship Horsa ( United Kingdom) ran aground off St Martin's, Isles of Scilly; the ship was towed off but later foundered in deep water.^[2][3]

June

22 June

• HMS Victoria ( Royal Navy) collided with HMS Camperdown ( Royal Navy) near Tripoli, Lebanon and sank with 358 crew killed, 357 rescued.

November

24 November

• The SS Serica nearly foundered and took shelter in St Mary's Roads on the 19th. As she left she struck an uncharted rock (later named Serica Rock) and sank.^[4]

December

8 December

•  Belgium) became stranded in the River Scheldt at Saaftingen and broke in two.^[1]

20 December

• The Iota ( Italy) sank off the coast at Tintagel (one life was lost).^[5][6]

28 December

• SS Alert ( Victoria) sank off Cape Schanck, Australia with the loss of 15 lives and one survivor.

Date unknown

• Cintra ( United Kingdom) wrecked on Porthminster Beach, St Ives, Cornwall, five crew rescued.^[7]
• SS Rosedale ( United Kingdom) wrecked on Porthminster Beach, St Ives, Cornwall. Sixteen crew saved.^[7]
