Moscow University for the Humanities

Moscow University for the Humanities (Russian: Московский гуманитарный университет - МосГУ) is an accredited privately operated institution for higher education located in Moscow, Russia.[1] It is a member of the International Association of Universities.[2]

The University has six faculties. It serves more than 10,000 students at a time.[2]

Though the institution traces its history back to 1944,[3] it did not become a recognized university until 1992.[4] The current head of the university is Igor Ilyinsky,[5] who published a history of the institution in 2005.[6]
