Шолохова) was founded in 1951 as Moscow Pedagogical Institute for Correspondence Studies ( _ru. Московский заочный педагогический институт). Sholokhov Moscow State University for Humanities bears an honorary name of Michail Aleksandrovich Sholokhov - a Russian writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1965.
