Andrey Alexandrovich Verbitsky ( _ru. Андрей Александрович Вербицкий) was born 25 February 1941. His area of academic interests include Development of Higher Education in Russia, as well as Developmental, Educational, and Social Psychology. He published more than 200 academic and instructional papers, including five monographs.

Major Academic Accomplishments

Dr. Verbitsky is a creator of widely recognized Context Education Theory in higher education ( _ru. Andrey Verbitsky holds undergraduate ( Specialist) degree in Psychology from Lomonosov Moscow State University. Dr. Verbitsky holds Kandidat nauk in Psychology degree (1974) conferred by Aspirantura at Research Institute of General and Educational Psychology at Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1978 Dr. Verbitsky was a UNESCO intern in the USA and France.
