Shergarh is the last resting place of the famous 16th century sufi saint Syed Muhammad Ibrahim Daud Bandagi Kirmani (AD 1513 - AD 1575). The mausoleum of the saint, which was completed in circa AD 1590, is an excellent example of early Mughal architecture. There is an annual fair (mela) held in the village during the Urs of the saint from the 13th to the 20th of March. Tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the country and people from nearby towns and villages throng in Shergarh during the Urs to pay their respects to the saint and enjoy the week long festivities.
