United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin serves the residents of twenty-eight counties from its two courthouses. The counties are: Brown, Calumet, Dodge, Door, Florence, Fond du Lac, Forest, Green Lake, Kenosha, Kewaunee, Langlade, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Milwaukee, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Racine, Shawano, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago counties.

The main courthouse is in Milwaukee. In 2001 Congress approved a new federal judgeship to serve Green Bay. The court meets in temporary facilities near the Brown County Courthouse until a permanent federal courthouse can be constructed.

Steve Biskupic, nominated by George W. Bush has been the United States Attorney for the area since May 2002.
