0.65 mi (D Gate Line)Highest elevation Elevated The McCarran International Airport People Movers are two separate automatic people mover systems operating at McCarran International Airport near Las Vegas, Nevada. The people mover system consists of two separate lines, one connecting the Main Terminal to the C Gate Concourse, and the other connects the Main Terminal to the satellite D Gate Concourse. Also, a third people mover line is currently under construction to connect the D Gate Concourse to the new Terminal 3.
A fourth people mover—an extension of the Las Vegas Monorail—is planned to link Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 with central Las Vegas four miles away from the airport.

C Gate Line
The C Gate Line was the first people mover line at the airport, opening in 1985. It connects Terminal 1 with the C Gate Concourse, which primarily serves Southwest Airlines. The C Gate Line features two parallel quarter-mile tracks each with two-car trains running back and forth between the two stations. In 2008, the line's original Adtranz C-100 vehicles were replaced with the current Bombardier Innovia APM 100 (formerly CX-100) vehicles.[1]
D Gate Line
The D Gate Line is the larger of the two lines and it connects the Main Terminal building with the satellite D Gate Concourse. Similar to the C Gate Line, the D Gate Line consists of two kilometer-long parallel tracks with trains shuttling back and forth between the two stations. The D Gate Line opened in 1998 when the D Gate Concourse opened. Each train on the D Gate Line includes three cars. Along with the C Gate system's recent fleet replacement, the D Gate Line's original vehicles were replaced with Bombardier Innovia APM 100 vehicles in early 2009.[1]
Upcoming Terminal 3 Line
McCarran International Airport is currently constructing a third terminal for domestic and international flights. This terminal, appropriately named "Terminal 3," will be connected to Terminal 1 via the D Gate Concourse. A third people mover line is currently under construction as part of the project. This third line will connect Terminal 3 with the D Gate Concourse. Like the two existing lines, the third line will consist of two tracks, each with a three-car train shuttling back and forth between the two stations. The third line will also use Bombardier Innovia APM 100 vehicles.[1]
