United States Census Bureau , the village has a total area of 4.0square mile s (10.3km² ), of which, 3.3 square miles (8.7 km²) of it is land and 0.6 square miles (1.7 km²) of it (16.08%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 5,076 people, 1,401 households, and 1,203 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 1,519.0 people per square mile (586.8/km²). There were 1,455 housing units at an average density of 435.4/sq mi (168.2/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 91.67% White, 0.87% African American, 0.08% Native American, 3.55% Asian, 0.65% from other races, and 3.19% from two or more races. The average household size was 3.14 and the average family size was 3.38.
