Morebath railway station was on the Devon and Somerset Railway line between Taunton and Barnstaple. The station opened when the line was extended westwards from Wiveliscombe in 1873.

Morebath station was two miles east of the village of Morebath and three miles north-east of Bampton. It was for a time called "Morebath and Bampton" but in 1884 Bampton's own station opened on the Tiverton and North Devon Railway, which the next year became part of the Exe Valley Railway with through services between Dulverton and Exeter.

Morebath station was east of the junction of the Devon and Somerset and the Exe Valley lines; in 1928, a small halt station, Morebath Junction, was opened at the junction and served by trains on both lines. Morebath Junction was much nearer to Morebath village, but had no road or footpath access.

Morebath station had a loop line on the mostly single track railway. This was taken out in 1963 and the line as a whole closed to passenger services in 1966. The buildings survive in residential use.
