It is part of the Norfolk, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 38 at the 2000 census.
Geography
McLean is located at 42°23′13″N 97°28′5″W / 42.38694°N 97.46806°W (42.386978, -97.468016)[3].

Demographics
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 38 people, 18 households, and 9 families residing in the village. The population density was 400.9 people per square mile (163.0/km²). There were 26 housing units at an average density of 274.3 per square mile (111.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.
There were 18 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.4% were married couples living together, and 50.0% were non-families. 50.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.11 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the village the population was spread out with 26.3% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 15.8% from 45 to 64, and 23.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 111.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $27,292, and the median income for a family was $45,417. Males had a median income of $26,750 versus $28,750 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,225. None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line.
