0Villa Bisonó, usually known as Navarrete, is a small municipality in the Dominican Republic northwestern section, created in 1956. It lies approximately 20 miles (32 km) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic's second largest city. The town serves as a junction for the highways DR-1 and DR-5.
In 2002, the municipality of Villa Bisonó had a total population of 42,210 p., of which 12,487 lived in the rural area. The city had a population of 29,723 p.
