He also recorded a spoken-word comedy Split 7" with Mark Telfian of Limp Wrist. He currently plays guitar in Suburbanite and the anthemic hardcore punk act Veins, as well as provides vocals in Failures.
McCoy was born in Waukegan, Illinois and moved to DeKalb, Illinois in 1993 to attend art school at Northern Illinois University. He is a visual artist with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from New York City's prestigious School of Visual Arts and has published three books of artwork Wound, When I Die Bury Me In The Clothes of My Youth, and Cathexis. He currently resides in and bases his record label, Youth Attack! out of Brooklyn, New York. Since his youth he adheres to the straight edge lifestyle.
