History
In late 1997 the first Coffee World outlet opened in Bangkok.[1] By 1999 Fred Mouawad (the founder of Coffee World), secured private equity funds to invest in his business. A few years later, in 2004, Mouawad bought out the shares held by his equity partners to form Global Franchise Architects (GFA).
Around the World
Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, Coffee World opened its doors in 2005. All food served in the country are halal.
Most outlets of Coffee World are co-branded with either Pizza Corner or Books Express or are located inside ETC Departmental Stores (the local franchisee of Coffee World and Pizza Corner). Unlike their Indian counterparts Coffee World Bangladesh serves beef related products. Currently there are seven outlets in the country and all off them are in the city of Dhaka.

Every year during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan there are special Iftar offers. Usually in these offers products are offered at almost half the price for two hours starting from Iftar.
India
There are several outlets in India, scattered over Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata.
Thailand
There are many outlets scattered all over the country.
