Simeria (Romanian pronunciation: [siˈmeri.a]; German: Fischdorf; Hungarian: Piski) is a town in Hunedoara County with a population of just under 14,000, and an important railway junction with hump yard. Six villages are administered by the town: Bârcea Mare, Cărpiniş, Simeria Veche, Sântandrei, Şăuleşti and Uroi.
