Gould, 1835The Chestnut-tipped Toucanet (Aulacorhynchus derbianus) is a South American species of bird in the Ramphastidae family. It occurs in two distinct populations: The nominate group in humid highland forests along the east Andean slope from southernmost Colombia to Bolivia, and the whitelianus group from the humid forests of the tepuis and other highlands of the Guiana Shield. The former is far larger than the latter, and genetic evidence suggests they are better treated as two separate species.
