The Spectacled Monarch (Monarcha trivirgatus) is a species of bird in the Monarchidae family. It is found in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
Taxonomy
The species is sometimes placed in the genus Symposiachrus. The subspecies M. t. bimaculatus is sometimes split as the Moluccan Monarch (Monarcha bimaculatus).
